LAX 入国手続きについて

この投稿では、入国手続きにかかった時間と、質問で聞かれた内容をお伝えします！

★入国手続きまでの待ち時間：約30分
年末年始の期間でしたが、それほど混雑していなかった印象です。

★入国手続きで聞かれたこと
・渡米の目的　※観光の場合は、具体的な目的地やステイ先も聞かれます
・滞在期間
・どのくらいのお金を現金で持ってきたか
・アルコールを持ってきたか

ステイ先については上手く伝わらない場合もあるかと思うので、予約したことがわかるメールやサイト内容をプリントアウトして用意しておくと話が早いです！

★入国手続きを終えたら
左側にあるエスカレーターを降りると、手荷物受取所に繋がっています。『Baggage Claim』の標識が目印です。
壁際に電子掲示板があり、そこに自分の乗った飛行機の手荷物がどこのラインで流れるか確認できます！

手荷物が受け取れたら、あとは出口へ進むだけ！

In this post, I’ll share the time it took for the immigration procedures and the questions that were asked!

★Waiting time for immigration procedures: About 30 minutes

Although it was the year-end and New Year’s period, it didn’t feel too crowded.

★Questions asked during immigration procedures:

・Purpose of visit to the U.S. (If it’s for tourism, they may also ask about specific destinations and where you’re staying.)

・Length of stay

・How much cash you brought with you

・Whether you brought alcohol

If you’re asked about where you’ll be staying, it might not always be easy to explain. So, it’s a good idea to have a printed copy of your booking confirmation email or details from the website to make the conversation smoother!

★ After finishing the immigration procedures:

Take the escalator on the left side, which will lead you to the baggage claim area. Look for the “Baggage Claim” sign.

There’s an electronic display board on the wall where you can check which conveyor belt your luggage will be on!

Once you have your luggage, just head towards the exit!
